Fall Retreat with Zen Master Dae Gak

Introduction to Zen Meditation Workshop

The West Houston Zen Center is sponsoring an introductory workshop with Zen Master Dae Gak.  Those with no experience will learn basic information about Zen practice.  More Experienced practitioners will gain insight to enhance their practice. The format will include lecture and several short meditation periods.  There will be ample opportunity for questions and answers.

 

Dae Gak received Dharma transmission from the late Korean Zen Master Seung Sahn in 1994. He is a founder of Furnace Mountain , a Zen center located on 650 acres of rugged woodland (part of the Daniel Boone National Forest) in the Red River Gorge region of eastern Kentucky .  Dae Gak is guiding teacher to Zen groups in the US , England and Germany .  He has also authored the book "Going Beyond Buddha" (Charles Tuttle, 1997).
